The front two panels are made of washed cotton fabric and the back four panels are made of soft  mesh material.  This hat has a thin cotton sweat band on the inside and a plastic tabbed adjustment strap in the back. I had to send both hats back. The girl was very helpful. She is sending me 2 different hats. Hopefully they will work. Cost$10.00 to return the first ones.
