Sizing and Fit

Are your hats actually larger and deeper than regular hats? Yes, and this is the most important thing that sets us apart. Our big head hats are custom-manufactured on larger molds with greater circumference and extra crown depth. They sit on your head the way a hat should: not riding up, not perching on top, not squeezing your temples by noon. Standard hats are built for standard heads. Ours are built for yours.

Are your baseball caps one-size-fits-all? Never. We offer genuine big head sizing across multiple size increments: 2XL, 2XL-3XL, 3XL, 3XL-4XL, and 4XL, with each size custom-made to fit progressively larger head circumferences. We also carry true fitted hats in exact sizes including 7¾, 8, 8¼ and above. Every product page lists the exact head circumference each hat fits. The depth of our hats is substantially greater than any one-size-fits-all hat on the market. Fair warning: our hats will not fit people with normal-sized heads.

What sizes do you carry? Our big head hats run from size 7½ through 9+ (2XL through 4XL), covering head circumferences from approximately 23½" to 26½" and above. Exact size ranges are listed on every product page. If you are between sizes, we recommend sizing up for a more comfortable, pressure-free fit.

What is the difference between your baseball cap styles? We carry five distinct baseball cap builds, each designed for a different preference:

  • Structured caps sit high and hold their shape. Firm front panel, crisp crown, classic look. The traditional baseball cap, built properly for big heads.
  • Unstructured caps are soft, relaxed, and low-profile. The classic dad hat feel, in a size that actually fits.
  • True fitted caps are made to your exact size with no strap and no spandex. Just a clean closed back and a precise fit.
  • Flexfit stretch caps give you the clean look of a fitted hat with integrated spandex panels that conform to your head shape.
  • Mesh and trucker caps have a structured front with a breathable mesh back. The right choice for warm weather and outdoor activities.

Ordering

Can I order just one hat? Of course. One hat, several hats, whatever works for you. No minimums.

Do you accept coupon codes? Yes. After clicking any checkout button in your shopping cart, you will see a field to enter your coupon code. For PayPal and other payment methods, the coupon field appears a bit later in the process. If you have any trouble finding it, contact our customer service team and we will apply any eligible discount for you.

Can I mail in my order? Yes. Here is the easiest way to do it:

  1. Add your items to the shopping cart and print or write down the contents
  2. Add the flat-rate shipping amount shown in the cart to your total
  3. Make a check or money order payable to Big Hat Store
  4. Mail to: Big Hat Store, 330 E. Maple Road, Suite C, Troy, MI 48083

Shipping and Tracking

How do I track my order? Once your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email with your shipping date and tracking information.

  • Domestic orders include a direct tracking link so you can follow your delivery in real time.
  • Canadian and international orders include your shipping date and carrier information. Tracking availability varies by destination country.

Do you accept international orders? Yes. We ship to many countries including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Japan, and others. Please note that we do not accept credit cards from certain countries including Indonesia, Malaysia, and Nigeria, due to a history of fraudulent transactions.

Why are you not currently shipping to the UK? VAT regulations that took effect January 1, 2021 required us to temporarily pause UK sales while we work through the new compliance requirements. We appreciate our UK customers' patience and hope to resume shipping there soon.

Why is shipping to Australia and New Zealand more expensive? When USPS suspended package delivery to Australia and New Zealand, we had to switch to UPS international express service. It is faster, but significantly more expensive than standard postal rates. We are keeping an eye on the situation and hope to return to more affordable shipping options when that becomes possible.

Security and Privacy

Is my credit card information secure? Yes, completely. All transactions at Big Hat Store are protected by SSL encryption and our payment processing is Level 1 PCI DSS compliant, which is the highest security standard in the industry. You can shop with complete confidence.

What is your privacy policy? Your information is yours. We do not sell, share, or offer your personal information to any third party.

Made in the USA

How do I find hats made in the USA? Many of our big head hats are manufactured in the United States using American-made fabrics. To find them, look for the "Made in the USA" note on individual product pages, or type USA into the search bar at the top of any page to see the full collection of American-made big hats.
